Unity Fellowship Baptist Church was initiated on July 9, 1998 with a Bible Study group of eight people in the home of Reverend Arnold & Terri Postell. During the same month, Unity Fellowship attained sponsorship from Bella Vista Baptist Church in Edgewater and Bella Vista opened its doors for Unity Fellowship to share its sanctuary at 3232 South Ridgewood Avenue. On August 9, 1998, the Florida Baptist Convention, along with the Halifax Baptist Association, commissioned Unity Fellowship Baptist Church, with 21 members, during a Founder’s Day Service. The first worship service was held on Sunday, August 16, 1998.

A Pastor’s Installation Program was held on November 9, 1998, formally installing Reverend Arnold T. Postell as the founding Pastor of this church.

After holding Worship Services weekly at Bella Vista in Edgewater for 3 years, Unity Fellowship services were moved to Daytona Beach at the Halifax Baptist Association building on October 7, 2001.

God has now blessed Unity Fellowship with our own Church Building at 909 3rd Street in Port Orange FL. The first prayer and praise service was held on March 22, 2013, including our first prayer walk in the new neighborhood.  The building was formally dedicated on June, 30, 2013.

Unity Fellowship Baptist Church was ordained by God to carry out His Will in reaching others. This church will continue to grow through continuous worship, bible studies, and providing missions to the community as we “Endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
